McAfee fully supports modern Windows devices running 64-bit or ARM64 architecture. Ensure your system meets the following minimums before downloading:

McAfee Security is available for iPhones and iPads running a supported iOS version.

The iOS app includes Secure VPN, Safe Browsing, Wi-Fi network protection, and identity monitoring notifications. Download it using the link provided in your My Account portal.

McAfee supports Chromebooks running a sufficiently recent version of ChromeOS.

Ensure your Chromebook has Google Play Store access enabled in its settings. Install the McAfee Security app via the Play Store link sent from your My Account dashboard after activating at mcafee.com/activate.

If you plan to use the McAfee Virus Removal Service, your Windows PC must have a minimum of 4 GB of RAM (not the standard 2 GB) to support the live technician session tools that run alongside McAfee during the removal process.

If your Windows PC is running low on the required 1.3 GB of free disk space, use the built-in McAfee PC Optimizer tool to clean up junk files, unnecessary temporary data, and browser cache before beginning the McAfee installation. This not only frees up space but can also improve overall system performance.
