Key Features
- Color-coded safety ratings on search results — green checkmarks for safe sites, yellow warnings for risky ones, and red blocks for dangerous pages appear directly alongside every search result in Google, Bing, and Yahoo
- Blocks known phishing and malware sites — WebAdvisor cross-references every URL against McAfee’s continuously updated database of millions of known-malicious domains
- Warns before you visit dangerous URLs — if you attempt to navigate to a flagged site, WebAdvisor intercepts the request and displays a full-screen warning before the page loads
- Misclick protection from typos — accidentally type “goggle.com” or “amaz0n.com”? WebAdvisor detects typosquatting domains and redirects you safely
- Safer file downloads — files are scanned before they finish downloading, so malware never gets the chance to execute on your system
